Apr 16, 2018Francis Merrill Dingman III, 63, passed away with family by his side on Friday Nov. 12, 2016 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, after an accident.Frank was born on Oct. 09, 1953 in Glens Falls, to Shirley (Heil) Dingman and Francis Merrill Dingman II. Frank graduated from Queensbury High School in 1972. Frank's best memories in high school were the ones he spent as a member of the rifle team. Frank was a retired member of the IBEW Local No. 236.On July 2, 1982 Frank married the love of his life Sheila (Hunt) Dingman. The best days of Frank's life were spent with his wife Sheila, and their children. Frank and Sheila's favorite place was Daggett Lake in Thurman, New York. They enjoyed many summers there, spending time with family and friends. But mostly, they enjoyed sunrise fishing trips on their boat. Frank spent 31 years married to Sheila before her passing in 2014. Frank was also predeceased by his father, Francis Merrill Dingman II; his brother, Daniel Jude Dingman; and his nephew Albie Ibrahim.Frank was a wonderful father, and leaves behind a family who will miss him very much, his children, Susan Dingman (Eric Coon); Heath Bromley (Jennifer Savage); Heather (Bromley) Ballard (Kirk); and James F. Dingman; his grandchildren, Caleb and Caden Strayer, Kaylee and Jeanette Coon, Alton and Asa Bromley, Gage and Lacey Russell; Phoebe, Jory, Sage and Elise Ballard; James M. Dingman; Ellyssa Cote and Hannah Bromley.Frank also leaves behind his mother, Shirley (Heil) Dingman; siblings, Darrell Dingman, Alene Dingman, Audrey Ibrahim, Patrick Dingman (Captola), Michael Dingman (Theresa); his best friend, Dobby; many nieces, nephews, friends and his special Gator and Sully's Families.Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Dec. 16, at 6 p.m., at Vantage Pointe Church, 543 Ridge Road, Queensbury New York. Burial will be at the discretion of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Vantage Pointe Church. (Glens Falls Post-Star)
